Melbourne is Australia’s second largest city with a population of just under 4 million. It is known as the sporting, cultural and fashion capital of Australia. It is situated on the Yarra River, located in the South East part of Australia in the state of Victoria.
Economy
Two of Australia’s big 4 banks are headquartered in Melbourne and it is a significant financial centre within the Asia Pacific. It is also home to 65% of Australian industry super-funds. Melbourne also has Australia’s busiest seaport and a large manufacturing industry, particularly in automotive.
Immigration
If you’re planning to live or work in Australia for between three months and four years, you must obtain a temporary residence visa.
